Quick Visit Summary
Pizza and Overall Impression
60 seconds to napoli in Munich is a lively central pizzeria with Neapolitan-style pizza, bold menu ideas, and a modern setting. After several visits, the strongest dishes for me were Don Diablo, Margherita with Burrata, Pizza Parma, and Burrata Bomb. The dough is soft, airy, and generous around the edges. At the same time, waiting time, noise level, food temperature, and service speed can vary depending on the day and time. Current on-site conditions, seating rules, menu items, and waiting times may now differ from my visits.
Reservation and Waiting Time
Reservation Experience
A reservation is highly recommended. With a booking, my visits were much smoother, especially in the evening. On quieter days, I was seated with little or no wait. During busy times, I still had to wait briefly even with a reservation. Based on my visits, waiting time ranged from no wait to around 10 to 30 minutes.
Table Time Limit
The restaurant runs with clear table time slots. This makes the visit feel more like a lively, efficient pizza dinner than a slow traditional Italian meal. When the food arrives quickly, the time slot works well. When drinks or food take longer, the meal can feel a little rushed.
Price Level
Regular Meal Cost
A normal meal usually cost me around €20 to €40 per person. A pizza with one drink can stay closer to the lower end. Adding Burrata, dips, dessert, wine, or cocktails quickly raises the total. The truffle pasta in a pizza bowl also pushes the bill higher.
Seasonal Special Seating
The winter igloo or bubble seating is more of a special experience than a standard restaurant seat. It works well for groups, birthdays, and memorable dinners. For a casual pizza visit, the regular indoor seating makes more sense.
Payment
Card Payment
I paid by card, and the process was straightforward. For groups, it is better to decide in advance whether the bill will be split or paid together. During busy periods, it can take a little longer to get the bill because the staff is constantly moving.
Parking
City-Center Parking
Parking directly nearby is not easy. The restaurant is in a very central part of Munich, close to Marienplatz, Kaufingerstraße, and Hofstatt. A paid parking garage nearby is the more realistic option. Planning to park right in front of the restaurant is not a good idea.
Public Transport Access
Public transport access is excellent. From Marienplatz, the restaurant is easy to reach on foot. For anyone already exploring Munich Altstadt, the location is very convenient.
Restaurant Atmosphere
Indoor Dining Area
The indoor area is modern, energetic, and visually impressive. The open kitchen, lighting, and pizza oven create a lively mood. However, when the restaurant is full, it gets loud and tight. It is great for a casual dinner with friends, but not ideal for a quiet conversation during peak hours.
Winter Igloo Seating
The winter igloo seating is one of the restaurant’s biggest attractions. During my visits, it created a more private and special atmosphere than the main dining room. The lights, separate seating, and heated setting made it feel memorable. Still, the experience depends on the exact seat, heating, and weather.
Food Review by Item
Margherita
The Margherita is a good way to judge the restaurant’s basics. The tomato sauce, cheese, and airy crust work well together. It is best when served hot straight from the oven. With Burrata, it becomes richer and more satisfying.
Don Diablo
Don Diablo was one of my favorite pizzas here. It is not extremely spicy, but the heat balances the soft and rich dough nicely. Chili oil or garlic oil makes it even better. I recommend this pizza to anyone who wants a stronger flavor.
Margherita with Burrata
Margherita with Burrata is one of the best choices for a first visit. The Burrata adds creaminess and makes the pizza feel more premium. The extra cost is worth it if you enjoy cheese and a soft texture.
Pizza Parma
Pizza Parma was balanced, savory, and filling. The salty topping worked well with the mild dough. It is a safe choice for someone who wants something special without going too experimental.
Burrata Bomb
Burrata Bomb is rich and very filling. Cheese is clearly the main focus. I recommend sharing it rather than eating the whole pizza alone, because it can feel heavy.
The Beast
The Beast is bold, filling, and topping-heavy. It is a good choice for anyone who likes intense flavors and a more substantial pizza. It is not a light dish, but a full main course.
Truffle Pasta in a Pizza Bowl
The truffle pasta in a pizza bowl is the most eye-catching item on the menu. The pasta is creamy and heavy, and the edible dough bowl makes it memorable. It is interesting and fun, but it was not always my top choice in terms of flavor. I recommend sharing it rather than ordering it as a solo main dish.
Mamba Zamba
Mamba Zamba did not impress me as much as the other pizzas. During my visits, it lacked the clear flavor of Don Diablo or the Burrata options. For a first visit, I would choose another pizza first.
Dips and Oils
Aioli, truffle mayo, and basil pesto work very well with the thick crust. Since the edge is a big part of the pizza here, the dips are worth ordering. Aioli is the safest choice, truffle mayo is richer, and basil pesto adds freshness. Chili oil and garlic oil are especially good with spicy pizzas.
Dessert
Nutella Pizza is very sweet and large enough to share. Tiramisu was fine, but it was not the highlight. This restaurant is clearly stronger with pizza and signature mains than with desserts.
Staff Friendliness
Friendly Service
The staff was mostly friendly during my visits. Many servers were attentive, checked on the table, and helped with menu choices. When the restaurant was not overloaded, the service was smooth and pleasant.
Busy-Hour Difference
During peak times, service speed was less consistent. Drinks took longer on some visits, and a few orders needed more time. Still, the staff attitude was generally friendly. The main issue is not friendliness, but the pressure of a very busy restaurant.
Restroom
Availability
Restrooms were available inside the restaurant. During crowded periods, waiting was possible. The women’s restroom in particular was not always easy to use quickly during peak hours.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness varied depending on the visit. On quieter days, it was acceptable. During very busy times, the restroom was one of the weaker parts of the visit. It did not match the stronger impression created by the pizza and atmosphere.
Advantages
Excellent Pizza Dough
The biggest advantage is the dough. The crust is airy, soft, and flavorful. Anyone who enjoys Neapolitan-style pizza with a thick edge will likely enjoy this place.
Creative Menu
The menu goes beyond basic pizza. Burrata options, Don Diablo, truffle pasta in a pizza bowl, and several dips make the visit more interesting than a standard pizzeria.
Central Location
The location near Marienplatz is very convenient. It fits well before or after shopping, sightseeing, or an evening in Munich Altstadt.
Disadvantages
High Price
The prices are on the higher side. With extras, drinks, and dessert, a pizza dinner can become noticeably expensive.
Noise Level
When full, the restaurant is loud. Anyone looking for a quiet dinner should avoid peak hours.
Inconsistent Timing
Food temperature, waiting time, and service speed were not the same on every visit. On a good day, the experience is excellent. On a very busy day, the pressure is noticeable.
Satisfaction
Overall Rating
My overall satisfaction is high, but with clear reservations. The pizza is the main reason to visit. The atmosphere and location are also strong. Price, noise, and waiting time are the main drawbacks.
Recommendation
I recommend 60 seconds to napoli for people who enjoy modern Neapolitan-style pizza, a lively atmosphere, and a central location. For a quiet, slow dinner, I recommend choosing a different restaurant or booking a very early time slot.
Revisit Intention
My Next Order
I would visit again. Next time, I would order Don Diablo, Margherita with Burrata, Pizza Parma, and Aioli. I would only order the truffle pasta in a pizza bowl to share.
Best Time to Visit
I recommend booking a table on a weekday or early in the evening. The visit is much more pleasant then, and the pizza becomes the main focus.
Location Guide
From Marienplatz
From Marienplatz, the restaurant is easy to reach on foot. Walk toward Kaufingerstraße and Hofstatt. Frauenkirche and St. Peter are also close enough to use as orientation points.
Around Hofstatt
Hofstatt is the easiest landmark for finding the restaurant. The entrance is slightly away from the biggest pedestrian paths, so it is easy to miss if you only follow the main streets. When walking between Sendlinger Straße and Kaufingerstraße, head toward Hofstatt and look for the restaurant from there.
