mama trattoria is located in Berlin-Mitte, very close to Brandenburg Gate. From the gate, I only had to walk a short distance across the Pariser Platz area to reach the restaurant. Hotel Adlon, Unter den Linden, the Reichstag, Tiergarten, and the Holocaust Memorial are all nearby, so the restaurant fits easily into a central Berlin sightseeing day.

The location was the strongest point of the restaurant. After walking around Brandenburg Gate, I did not need to take another train or walk far to have a proper meal. The area was busy, central, and full of visitors. This was not a quiet hidden local restaurant, but it worked well as a convenient Italian place in the middle of Berlin-Mitte.
