Review Summary
Overall opinion after several visits
Anatolia Kebap is a Turkish fast-food spot in Kelsterbach serving döner, dürüm, lahmacun, köfte, pizza, falafel, and baklava. After several visits, the best choices were the döner sandwich and the dürüm döner. The meat had clear seasoning, the portions were generous, and the bread was often soft with a lightly crisp outside. For simple orders, I paid around €1–10 per person. For larger meals with plates, dürüm, katmer, or drinks, I usually paid around €10–20 per person.
Good points and weak points
The strong points are large portions, fast preparation, and mostly friendly service. The weak point is consistency. The fries were disappointing more than once. One time they were soggy and undercooked, and another time they tasted too oily. Delivery was also mixed. Some orders arrived hot and quickly, but there were also issues with drinks and food condition. For that reason, Anatolia Kebap works better for dine-in or takeout than delivery.
Food and Prices
Döner Sandwich
The döner sandwich was the safest choice here. The meat was well seasoned, the salad was fresh, and the yogurt or garlic sauce made the sandwich easy to eat until the end. The bread was comfortable to bite into and had a light grilled texture.
For a döner sandwich, I paid within the €1–10 range depending on the order. I once paid €6 for a döner sandwich with a drink during a deal. On regular visits, the total changed depending on drinks and sides.
Dürüm Döner
The dürüm döner was filling enough for a full meal. The meat flavor came through more directly than in the regular sandwich, and the vegetables and sauce made it juicy. On one visit, the vegetable portion was larger than expected, so asking for more meat is a good idea if that is the main reason for ordering it.
I paid €7.50 for a dürüm. When ordering two dürüm, the total came out in the €10–20 range.
Döner Plate and Fries
The döner plate was better for a full meal. It came with meat, salad, sauce, and a side, making it more filling than a regular döner. I was also able to get half rice and half fries.
I paid €12.50 for a döner plate. Fries were €3.50. The fries were the weakest item. On a good day, they worked with the sauce, but on a bad day they were soggy, greasy, or not cooked through. I do not recommend ordering only fries here.
Köfte Sandwich and Katmer
The köfte sandwich had strong grilled flavor and a generous filling. The cabbage salad and yogurt sauce worked well with the meat. It felt more like a proper meal than a quick snack.
Katmer had a large portion, but it was not the most reliable choice. One order had burnt parts, and the sauce was unpleasant. I paid €12.50 for katmer. At that price, I would rather order the döner plate or köfte.
Lahmacun and Falafel
The lahmacun had a thin base and plenty of fresh vegetables. It was good as a lighter meal, but the meat flavor was not strong. Anyone expecting a very meaty lahmacun may be disappointed.
The falafel pita was the best vegetarian option I tried. It had plenty of filling, fresh vegetables, and good sauce. For vegetarians staying in Kelsterbach or near the airport, this is a useful option.
Pizza and Baklava
The Margherita pizza was fine. It was not the main reason to visit, but it worked for a quick meal. One takeout order had the wrong pizza, so checking the order before leaving is important.
Baklava was a good dessert after the meal. It was sweet and rich. I also received tea after eating on one visit, and that small gesture made the meal more enjoyable.
Best Menu to Choose
Döner Sandwich Recommendation
If choosing only one item, I recommend the döner sandwich. It shows the best parts of Anatolia Kebap: bread, meat, sauce, and fresh salad. Fries and katmer varied too much, but the döner sandwich stayed the most reliable across several visits.
Best Order Choice
For the döner, I recommend mixed meat with yogurt or garlic sauce. The spicy sauce was not very strong, so asking for extra heat is better if you want a spicier taste.
Waiting Time and Order Type
Dine-in and Takeout
I usually did not wait long when eating there. During quiet times, the food came out almost immediately. Most visits took under 10 minutes. When it was busy, the wait was around 10–30 minutes.
Takeout was also quick. Döner and dürüm worked well for takeout. Items with fries should be eaten right away because the quality drops quickly.
Delivery
Delivery was mixed. One order arrived hot and fast. Other orders had issues with drinks and fries. I would choose dine-in or pickup over delivery here.
Payment and Value
Payment Method
I paid by both card and cash. Card payment was available, but cash was more convenient for small orders. If visiting quickly from the airport area or a nearby hotel, carrying some cash is the safer choice.
Price Range
For simple meals, I paid around €1–10 per person. For döner plates, dürüm, katmer, lahmacun, and drinks, the total was usually around €10–20 per person. Larger orders reached €30–40.
The portion size was generally good for the price. Döner, dürüm, and köfte offered solid value. Fries had poor value when they came out soggy or undercooked.
Parking and Dining Area
Parking
Parking depended on the time of day. Sometimes I found free parking nearby, but during busier hours it was harder. If staying in Kelsterbach or near Frankfurt Airport, walking or taking a short ride may be easier than searching for a space.
Seating and Atmosphere
The place is more of a quick kebab shop than a full restaurant. There are indoor seats and a few outdoor seats. Outdoor seating is limited. During quiet times it was comfortable, while busy hours felt more rushed.
Staff and Restroom
Staff Friendliness
The staff was mostly friendly. I was served quickly on several visits, and food was still prepared late at night. Some staff members were very welcoming and helpful.
There were weaker moments too. One order was not handled smoothly, and one response to a problem was not friendly. Overall, service was good, but it depended on the staff and how busy the place was.
Restroom
A restroom was available. There was also a place to wash hands. During my visit, the restroom area was clean and easy to use.
Pros and Cons
Pros
The biggest pros are generous portions, many menu choices, and fair prices. Döner, dürüm, döner plate, lahmacun, köfte, pizza, falafel, and baklava give enough options. It is especially convenient for travelers near Frankfurt Airport or anyone looking for late food in Kelsterbach.
Cons
The main con is inconsistency between menu items. Fries were weak more than once. There were also issues with burnt bread, not enough meat, wrong pizza, and delivery orders. Service was mostly friendly, but not always. Parking can also be difficult depending on the time.
Satisfaction and Revisit
Satisfaction
My overall satisfaction was good. Ordering döner or dürüm gives the best chance of a filling and tasty meal. Fries, katmer, and delivery are less reliable.
Would I Go Again
I would go again. Next time, I would order a döner sandwich or dürüm döner and avoid fries as a separate item. I would also eat there or pick up the food myself. If you are near Frankfurt Airport or in Kelsterbach and want a quick, filling kebab, I recommend Anatolia Kebap.
